Monthly Networking Social – Buffalo Wild Wings

Young Professionals are invited to join Manatee Young Professionals (MYP) members and guests for casual business networking in a great social setting.

The May MYP Networking Social will be hosted by Buffalo Wild Wings located at 4120 14th St. W., Bradenton, 34205 on Thursday, May 12 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

There is no cost to attend for paid MYP members or for those who join on-the-spot. Cost is $5 for all others.
Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar are included. No RSVP necessary. Bring your business cards and bring a friend!

Project TEACH

Get out of the office and into the classroom! Project T.E.A.C.H. is designed to increase the career awareness of 4th grade students and stress the importance of first impressions. Volunteers will spend one hour at an orientation breakfast, sponsored by Manatee Education Foundation, and one hour in the classroom. The program begins at 7:30 AM with a volunteer orientation breakfast at Freedom Village Retirement Community, sponsored by Manatee Education Foundation. Volunteers will then travel to their assigned school and spend one hour, from 9:00 – 10:00 AM, with the students. In the classroom, volunteers present several activities stressing first impressions and career opportunities. At the end of the program the students design business cards based on what they want to be when they grow up! Registration is REQUIRED!

MYPower Networking Lunch – MacAllisters

This young professional event offers attendees the chance to promote your company and make business connections with other young professionals. Following lunch, you will share a 30-second "commercial" about what you do and who your ideal would be.

MYP Community Service – Shuffleboard Beautification Project

March 26, 2016 | 9:00 AM – Noon

Join MYP and Realize Bradenton's Pop-Ups team for a morning of service at the historic Bradenton Shuffleboard Courts. Volunteers will be sanding, painting, gardening, planting, mulching and generally contributing to the beautification of the shuffleboard courts in advance of the Shuffleboard Pop-Up Party happening Friday, April 1st. Tools, materials, shirts and refreshments provided.

Millennial Con - #4Progress

April 1 - 3, 2016

Manatee County Government’s team of Millennial employees, will host #4Progress - Millennial Conference (MCon), April 1 - 3. The conference will focus on topics important to local millennials such as housing, networking, financial stability, entrepreneurship and how to take ownership in your community, among others.
